This year in ESS, we will focus on global 21st century issues that threaten our beautiful planet. It will be the responsibility of this and future generations to find solutions to these problems through raising awareness, discovering new technology, rewarding innovation, and by passing legislation. This blog will reflect the voice of every earth and space science student in Ms. B's classes during the 2013-2014 school year.

astronomy day- UTA planetarium, october 26, 2pm-10pm.
Astronomy Day was really awesome, they had a few booths set up around the planetarium from different space related organizations and a guy was giving away telescopes in a free raffle! I didn't manage to get one though :( Shraddha and I saw fourd ifferent presentations, one called We Are Astronomers that looked at astronomers and what they do, a Texas star Gazing show that showed us what we could see in the sky that night without light pollution and clouds, a lecture about utilizing space, settling on the moon and technology and launching patterns to make it efficient. In the last show they played Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon with visual patterns that went along with the music, it was trippy. Overall it was agrewt experience and it makes me want to go to the planetarium all the time and even got to astronomy day next year.
