  1. I really liked getting to talk with all the other kids in the other classes about the sky and moon and everything. I learned it is huge, and also it has a lot of components that take a lot of work to get it focused in. I really liked looking at the moon because of how clear it was, I really liked seeing the craters too. I would love to do this again! Maybe be a little more structured in everything going on, but other than that it was great.

  2. I liked how relaxed and laid back it was but we were learning at the same time.

I learned that the telescope can magnify more than over 1000 times what we can see.

My favorite observation was the moon.

Yes I would want to do this again.

Maybe have stations with different telescopes looking at different stars next time.

  3. I liked hanging out with everyone and trying to look in the telescope. I learned that the telescope is really cool when you can actually find what you want in the sky. I saw a star in the telescope, but I didn't see Neptune :( I got there a little late. I would really love to do this again!! If we played music next time, that would. Make it better

  4. I enjoyed being with all of my class mates and hanging out! I learned that the telescope is very big, and I liked how I could see the craters on the moon through it. I would love to do this again!

  5. I liked getting to see the moon and the planet Venus most out of everything that went on last night. I also learned what the moon looks like up close. My favorite sight was the moon. I would love to do this as many times as possible throughout the school year. I think if we make the event more organized, there would be more people looking through the telescope.

  6. I liked hanging out with friends and looking through the telescope.
I learned that it takes a while for the telescope to be pointed at the moon.
My favorite observation was the moon.
I would want to do this again.
I think that to make the next one better would be to have more food like steak at the barbecue.

  7. I really liked getting to spend time with not only people from our own class, but also with all the other ESS and APES students, just having fun. I learned about how to adjust the telescope and how difficult it can be to get everything just right to get a good view of distant objects. My favorite sighting was just seeing all the details of the moon. I definitely want to do this again, and the only thing I would do differently is having it more organized that everyone could get a chance to use the telescope, and knowing for sure earlier who's bringing what!

  8. I really like hangout with everybody outside. I got to see people and talk to people that I hadn't spoken since last year. I really like seeing the moon and some of its craters. I have never seen such a large telescope. I would definitely like to do the star party again.

My favorite observation was getting to look at the moon and all it's creators and details. I would love to be part of the star party again. I don't think there are many things that could be improved, the party was organized well.

  11. I liked the food.
I learned the telescope is kinda clunky.
I liked looking at the dot that was venus.
    I would do it again.
    Needs more food.

  12. What I enjoyed most was how well you could see the moon through the telescope. I learned that it is a very powerful telescope that can show you the moon's craters. I only got to see the moon but it was amazing to see it like that, for I had never seen it so close. I would definitely want to do this again! Maybe having music playing would make it more lively.

  13. The food was my favorite part. I learned that a telescope is very hard to kinda manage and find things in the sky. I liked being able to see the craters on the moon. I would come again and it would be better if Chloe' were there:)

  14. I really loved how we all got to get together outside of school. I never really learned much about the telescope, however I liked how cool the moon looked close up. There's not much that could've made it better, and I would definitely be down to do it again!!

  15. what i liked most about the the star party was how relaxed it was and looking at the moon with a really big telescope was very different to me. Also the telescope had two viewpoints one was a smaller view not as zoomed the other was a zoomed view and a really clear picture. My favorite observation was not knowing i was looking at Venus but i was it looked like a star and went by quick. i would want to this again really soon i thought it was so much fun and interesting. we can make the next one better by maybe all talking about it together or having burgers

  16. My favorite part was looking at the moon through the telescope. I learned how close the telescope makes the moon seem and how th telescope is huge. My fav observation was seeing the ridges on the moon.
We'd should defy do it again! Maybe next time to make it better make sure we have some burgers

  17. I liked getting to spend time with people in ESS. I learned how much precision it takes to get a clear shot of the moon. My favorite observation was seeing the dark detail on the surface of the moon. I would love to do this again but it could be better if we had more of a specific direction of what we should be doing.

  19. I loved the star party! It was so clear in the sky but even more defined in the telescope. You could see every crater and it was just really awesome. I'd definately do this again.

  20. The first ESS Star party was really fun. I loved how everyone was able to look at the moon so in-depth. I learned that the telescope from the ESS club is very clear. With the telescope I was able to see the moon up close, It was so cool. I saw that the moon isn't completely round, It has craters that look like hills. I would love to do this again. I would love to see what else is out there in our Universe. If we were able to do this again, I would bring a lot of food for everyone. Overall, this was a great experience.

  21. The part was awesome! I liked how everyone was having such a great time. The telescope was so accurate I could see the American flag on the moon :). I learned how majestic the moon is and how big the craters are. I would do this again any day. For the next one I think it would be cool if we did karaoke. #esslove

  22. Mrs. B, you know I loved the star party! I enjoyed the merging of all the classes a lot. I realized how big the telescope was and was impressed to see the craters on the moon it showed us. Of course I want to have another star party, and well definitely have to bring some juicy burgers to cook up next time, no offense to your beloved veggie burgers.

  24. I thought the star party was really fun! Next time I'd like to see other things through the telescope, like maybe planets. It was fascinating seeing the moon so close up. I would love to do it again!

  26. My favorite part about the star party was laying on the grass on blankets so we could be one with the Earth. I learned that the telescope is super super hard to focus, but it was really cool to see the moon that close. I would definitely want to do this again. The only thing I would change for next time, is pick a time when the football stadium lights are not on and there is not a football game going on.

Looking through the telescope was new experience and I learned how powerful the telescope was. The moon also looked different from what I'm used to seeing, I wish we could see more planets and identify constellations. }

  28. I really liked looking through the telescope and seeing the moon and its edge. I learned that the telescope is actually really small. I would love to do this again. I wish more people came.

  29. I liked being able to hang out with people from different classes and still look at the moon. I learned how long it takes to focus the telescope on the exact spot you want it to focus on. I liked seeing all the details of the moon since I've never seen it that detailed except for in pictures. I would love to do the star party again and I don't think anything needs to change because I thought it ran smoothly.

  32. The thing I liked most about the star party was getting to examine the moon. I've never looked at it through a telescope before and I enjoyed getting to see all the details. I didn't get to look at the other planet that was observed but I enjoyed the moon. I would love to do this again. I want to go to an observatory to look through a more advanced telescope. Hopefully the next one isn't cold out.

  33. I really enjoyed looking at the moon and hanging out with everyone from the other classes. I learned what it looked like, but the telescope was a little blurry. I would definitely do this again, and I don't know what I would change

  34. : I really liked all the food and the social aspect about the star party and that we still learned while having fun.I learned that the telescope had two different places that you can look into if from and that it is really hares to find something in the sky with it. My favorite was looking at the moon with the telescope. I would love to do it again and next time I think we should have a bonfire

  35. my favorite part about the star party was looking at the moon while lying down on the blankets! That was fascinating. The telescope is very hard to work, but once we finally got it, it was great! Using the telescope was awesome because we got to see the moon up close. It looked like it was just 10 feet away from us when it's thousands! I would love to do it again and for the next one, it'll be great if we do what you (ms. B) had suggested about having fun stations to go through!

  36. I loved the star party and definitely want to do it again! I really enjoyed looking at the moon's craters through the telescope but I learned that moving the telescope is not as easy as it looks. The next one would be even better if we had music and more blankets.

  37. I loved that all the classes got to come together and have fun learning in a relaxed environment. I learned that the telescope was pretty difficult to manage but the image was amazingly clear. My favorite observation was being able to see the craters and detail of the moon that you can't see with your own eyes. I would definitely want to do this again. I think if there was a way to have more then one telescope then that would make it a little better.

  38. I really enjoyed hanging outnwithnmy friends, but at the same time learning interesting information about the stars. The telescope was really blurry, so I couldn't see specifics! I would definitely do it again, and it was great I can't really think of anything to make it better.

The telescope was hard to manage but the picture it gave was very large and clear, there was many details that you could see. i thought everything was good so there wasnt much to make better, i would definitely want to do this again i thought it was really fun. maybe if there was another telescope that would make it better, but it was still very worthwhile.

  41. I loved the star party and had a great time!! I loved how everyone was so interested and having a fun time socializing and viewing the earths beauty! I learned how hard is it and how long it is to focus the telescope to find certain planets. I think it would be great to do this again. it was perfect the way it was!!

  42. What I liked most about the star party is just relaxing under the stars, the moon, and a nice shining Venus with my friends. There really is something about looking at the stars with your peers. What my favorite observation was that the moon was a lot more detailed and could see more. I would love to do it again in the future because of the things you can keep learning about the stars. What could be better is that we only looked at the moon and would like to see if we can see stars better, because it was a little out of focus.

  43. I liked how we were able to combine with the other classes in order to learn about our curriculum. The telescope was hard to focus and control, but it gave a great image of what we finally focused on. I would love to do this again. Next time should have some music that we can listen to as we sit there.

  45. What I liked most about the star party was being around everyone and everyone being interested in the same thing. Once we got the telescope focused it showed the created on the moon beautifully. I think someone should bring a guitar and play music for everyone and we sit around and listen and watch stars maybe fireworks to if possible.

  46. What I liked most about the star party, was getting together with other class, with food and drink, we were learning and having fun at the same time. I liked being able to see the moon and what it looks like closely though the telescope. I learned that the telescope has different types of areas the you can look through. I would love to go to another star party! And it would be awesome if we have veggie stuff this time lol.

  47. The star was cool. We all got to hang out and see some stars that I didn't even know existed. The food was a good idea. I think that helped bring people there but the stars made them stick around. The next one will be bigger and better

  48. It would be cooler if there were more telescopes but I loved seeing the moon so close and I learned it takes a lot to get that big telescope adjusted to the right spot.

  49. I really enjoyed seeing the moon that close up in the telescope because I’d never before. I also really enjoyed talking to other people that aren’t in my class about the same topics. Its less what i learned, more what I experienced. Seeing the moon like that through the telescope is a completely different experience than seeing an unclose picture on your computer. I would definitely love to do one again. Maybe if the grill stayed longer it could be better, otherwise it was great.

  50. I really had a lot of fun at the star party! It was really Great to see som other friends in other classes. It was awesome to look through the telescope I have never used one that big before. It was kinda hard to get it set up correctly but once we got focused on the moon. I was amazed I have never seen the moon in such detail! All the creators and spots. It was good to see what the moon actually looks like. I think if we had some music it would be awesome.

  51. The star party was so much fun, the atmosphere of everyone there and looking at the stars was so cool. The telescope was amazing, how clear it made the moon look was crazy cool. There's not much better then enjoying the stars with your peers and your awesome teacher. I would love to do this again because there are endless things we can learn about when it comes to stars and the galaxy.
